Mayan mystics may say 2012 is the end of the world, but for those who love journalism it is the sign of great blog posts to come.
Jim Romenesko announced today that he will be going part-time at the Poynter Institute and starting his own website. The news of his new project is detailed in a post on The Huffington Post.
For the longest time, Romenesko has been my source of news about news every morning as I began work or — more recently — my day. His efforts to follow what was happening in media circles gave me time to work on lesson plans and hold college newspaper strategy sessions with editors and member’s of the paper’s advisory board. He was on my screen before the coffee was brewed early on. And later, he was a must-follow on twitter.
When JimRomenesko.com debuts in January. I will be there. And if you follow media, you should be to.
